A nice win tonight versus the Kansas City Royals, 4-3. A two run homer by Michael Brantley and another two run shot by Jason Kipnis made the difference.

Michael Brantley has been leading the team for the first nineteen games, now some others need to step up.

Speaking of home runs, Elmer Smith blasted three grand slams in 1920. The last was in game five of the World Series. The series was tied at two games apiece when Smith launched his shot over the forty-eight foot wall in right field. It gave the Indians a 4-0 lead over Brooklyn. This was a huge momentum swing which helped bring home the Indians very first World Series title. What a day to be in the grandstand at League Park!
