Out of Last Place

The Indians continue to improve on their slow start, taking two of three from Tampa Bay. The team has climbed to third place ahead of Minnesota and Chicago. The Tigers are making a lot of noise, threatening to run away with the division but overtaking the Royals is a must for the Tribe.

It is good to  see the defense getting a bit better, but they still have a ways to go.

This could be the year Michael Brantley joins the 20 home run club and maybe 85-90 rbi's. Where would the Tribe be without him?

Defense was not a problem for the 1920 Cleveland Indians. The infield was outstanding with Larry Gardner at third, Ray Chapman at short and Bill Wamby at 2nd. Very few balls got through that infield. In center field was Tris Speaker, one of the great outfielders the game has seen.
